Nice post! A considerable amount of fresh water is consumed in a ship. Sufficient potable water taken on in port to meet crew and passenger requirement but the quality of this water will be too poor for for use in the water tube boilers which were treated with drugs whose chemical's residue then leaked into sewers or was leached into landfills and water tables.
